Sunday, November 23rd, 2036: Today marks the beginning of Hickory Baseball League's free agent filing period. With it comes the uncertainty of an offseason filled with the potential for blockbuster signings, off-the-wall trades and a mad scramble to improve your club before you get left out in the cold.
General managers have the entire offseason in which to sign free agents. The biggest names on this year's market include:
1. Steve Gregory, 29 year-old shortstop
2. Christopher Fiore, 35 year-old starting pitcher
3. Tomás Jiménez, 25 year-old right fielder
4. Joe Rice, 32 year-old starting pitcher
5. Buddy Rogers, 30 year-old starting pitcher
6. Warren Daniels, 28 year-old reliever
7. Pedro Valenza, 34 year-old starting pitcher
8. Tom Clark, 29 year-old closer
9. Jorge Vega, 26 year-old reliever

 | Robison Signs for 1 year
Thursday, November 20th, 2036: Cleveland fans celebrated as word of a signing became reality. Bill Robison won't be pulling up stakes anytime soon, as he has signed a 1-year extension at a pay rate of $2,900,000 per annum.
Since he is widely seen as an integral part of the club, Cleveland officials had to keep Robison from jumping ship.
His career stats show that Robison has batted .300 and connected for 23 home runs. |
