Monday, June 5th, 2045: The Baseball News Network is reporting that the Kings and Rockies have consummated a trade. Colorado will receive 34-year-old closer Augusto Sarante in a swap for 20-year-old minor league center fielder Luis Fonseca. A league analyst called the trade a "pretty even transaction".
To this point in the year Sarante has put up a 1-3 won-lost mark, made 20 relief appearances and rung up 7 saves. He has a 7.02 ERA and has allowed 22 hits over his 16.2 innings of work, struck out 23 batters and walked 6. |
