For the week the 24-year-old second baseman had a lofty .524 average (11-21), collecting 1 home run, 7 RBIs and 4 runs scored.
So far in 2028 Labadie has hit .239 with 14 home runs and 43 RBIs. He has played in 81 games and scored 43 times. |  | Monday, July 3rd, 2028: Player of the Week Trophy to Calzada This week's Player of the Week was Michael Calzada of the Toronto Blue Jays.
His big bat beat up on American League pitching for 13 hits in 30 at-bats, 3 home runs, and 14 RBIs while hitting .433 and scoring 8 runs.
This year Calzada has batted at a .295 pace with 92 hits, 29 home runs, 86 RBIs and scored 60 times. |  | Sunday, July 2nd, 2028: St. Louis Shuts Out Houston Paul Johnson of the St. Louis Cardinals spun his magic on the Houston Astros today. He blanked them 10-0 on 2 hits, registering 5 strikeouts and 2 walks.
"The bottom line was I just kept the ball down," Johnson said. "My breaking stuff was down. Everything was down."
Talking to reporters in the postgame interview, the St. Louis skipper said, "We got solid pitching, good defense and we took great team at-bats in a lot of different situations. This was just a solid performance by everyone."
This year Johnson has a 7-6 mark in 15 starts with a 3.35 ERA. He has given up 85 hits in 107.1 innings, struck out 75 and issued 41 walks.
