So far in his young career, Jesse Rogers has kept a low profile, but after his performance at the plate last week, he attracted the notice of the rest of the National League in a big way as he was named the Player of the Week today for his efforts.
The 21-year-old Inland Empire 66ers center fielder hit at a torrid .464 clip as he collected 13 hits in 28 at-bats, no home runs, 5 RBIs and 6 runs scored.
Rogers is currently hitting at a .237 pace with 2 home runs, 39 RBIs and has scored 40 times. |

It can be difficult for a young player to step out of the shadows and assert himself in the American League, but last week Matt Ratzlaff of the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes reminded everyone just why he's here as he threw up numbers that made him an easy selection for Player of the Week.
Ratzlaff rocked opposing pitching for a .517 average (15-29), no home runs and 7 RBIs to come away with the award.
This season in 98 games, Ratzlaff has hit at a .273 clip with 105 hits, 4 home runs, 35 RBIs and 51 runs scored. |
