| Breaking News |  | Sunday, June 18th, 2028: Dickert Tags 3 HR Against Orioles! In the Detroit 12-8 win over Baltimore, Kareem Dickert was in a home run mode. He tortured the Orioles, cracking out three home runs and going 4-5 with 7 RBIs and scoring 3 runs.
"When you're hot, you're hot," said a grinning Dickert at the SION postgame press conference.
"I got some good pitches to hit and got a good swing going today. I cannot believe it happened. I was like, 'I don't know what I'm doing.' It was one of the better days in my baseball career. I was on cloud nine out there and I was enjoying it."
K. Dickert grounded out in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off G. Manzella in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off G. Manzella in the 6th, singled in the 7th, walked in the 9th and hit a GRAND SLAM off D. Viveiros in the 10th.
In 2028 Dickert is currently batting .318 with 28 home runs and 74 RBIs. In 71 games he has reached base at a .357 rate and scored 65 runs to date. |  | Monday, June 12th, 2028: Orioles and Athletics Agree to Swap The rumor has been going on for a while now, but today it was made official. The Baltimore Orioles sent nothing to the Oakland Athletics for 32-year old reliever Felix Chomoneva.
Officials from both teams seem to be pleased with the deal.
So far this season, Chomoneva has compiled a 0-2 won-lost mark with 1 save and a 3.42 ERA. In 23.2 innings he has fanned 13 and opponents are hitting him at a .284 clip. |  | Friday, June 9th, 2028: Orioles Shortstop Injured Amtonyo Laguardia and the Baltimore Orioles got a bad break in today's game against the Nationals as the team confirmed he will miss 8-9 weeks with a torn rotator cuff muscle. The Orioles shortstop suffered the injury throwing the ball. The team doctor is confident he'll make a full recovery.
