Sunday, July 22nd, 2029: Arribalzaga Puts Spell on Fresno
In an outstanding outing, Armando Arribalzaga tamed Fresno on a 4-hit shutout. The Louisville hurler went the distance, finishing with 5 strikeouts and no walks in the 2-0 win.

"He had a lot of first pitch strikes and kept us off balance with a lot of off-speed stuff," according to the Fresno manager. "We just didn't get too many balls squared up today."

So far this season Arribalzaga has a record of 5-7 with 85 strikeouts and 33 walks in 134.2 innings and a 3.41 ERA.

Wednesday, June 27th, 2029: Mericle Strokes 5 Hits
Players get multi-hit games all the time. But a 5-hit game only comes around once in a blue moon. It happened at Columbus Ballpark when Greg Mericle of Columbus scattered 5 hits all over the ballpark against the Louisville Bats.

He walloped 5 hits in 7 at-bats in his career-day performance to help the Clippers get by the Bats 25-7.

In a talkative and jovial mood after the game, the right fielder of the Clippers exclaimed, "Whoa, my swing was really, really there today. I made some good, sweet-spot contact and when that happens... good things happen... like 5-7. I could get used to a lot of days like this one."

G. Mericle hit a two-run single in the 1st, flied out in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 5th, flied out in the 7th and hit a two-run home run off J. Unknown in the 8th.

In 2029 Mericle is currently batting .308 with 12 home runs and 69 RBIs. In 79 games he has reached base at a .370 rate and scored 45 runs to date.

Sunday, June 17th, 2029: Louisville's Taman Asking for Trade?
It appears to be only a rumor, but earlier today, fans around Louisville were buzzing with the news that their 31-year-old left fielder Jason Taman had been asking for a trade. "I couldn't imagine him saying bad things about Louisville or wanting to leave." said one person.
