Friday, September 28th, 2029: AL Presents Outstanding Pitcher Award
The Outstanding Pitcher Award for 2029 has been presented and the American League winner is Robert Longwell of Scranton Wilkes-Barre.

"It's always nice to receive an award like this," said Longwell. "I just hope I can improve on my performance next year and be in the running again," the Yankees star told reporters.

Longwell excelled with an impressive 14-7 record in 27 starts. In 201.1 innings he yielded 197 hits and 51 walks, while striking out 136 and compiling a fine 3.08 ERA.
Monday, August 20th, 2029: Warrington Shuts out Scranton Wilkes-Barre
Norfolk starter Jeffrey Warrington really did a number on the Yankees today, shutting them out 1-0 on 6 hits in a complete game victory. He issued 2 walks and had 6 strikeouts.

In his postgame comments, the Scranton Wilkes-Barre manager said, "We didn't have good at-bats. I don't make excuses, but when we were playing the game, our energy didn't show. That comes from either extremely good pitching or extremely lousy hitting... seeing as our team has a bunch of pretty good hitters, I have to tip my cap to Jeffrey... he did an outstanding job today."

Warrington has made 28 starts, tossed 197.1 innings, struck out 113 batters and walked 71. His record is 7-17 with a 4.20 ERA and he has limited other teams to a .262 batting average.
