| Breaking News | | Thursday, July 19th, 2029: On a Roll: Chacón Hits for Cycle Lorenzo Chacón led Scranton Wilkes-Barre to a 10-3 victory today by hitting for the cycle, one of baseball's most difficult feats.
"With my wheels, I don't get many triples, so that was definitely the hardest hit for me." The Scranton Wilkes-Barre first baseman went 4-for-5 with 1 run batted in and 2 runs scored in today's triumph over the Red Wings.
L. Chacón flied out in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off K. McFarland in the 4th, doubled in the 6th and tripled in the 9th.

"I don't remember a better day batting, but it sure is disappointing to lose the game," the Rochester center fielder said to BNN reporters in the postgame interview. "A win would have made the day much sweeter."
Asked if he had a hitting philosophy, Mejía said, "It makes it easier if you get a good pitch. The odds are in your favor then, not the pitcher's. I got a bunch of good pitches to hit today, and I didn't miss any of them."
O. Mejía singled in the 1st, hit a two-run double in the 2nd, grounded out in the 4th, grounded out in the 6th, doubled in the 8th, doubled in the 10th and singled in the 13th.
In 94 games Mejía is hitting .273 this season for the Red Wings with 109 hits, 2 home runs, 25 RBIs, 40 walks, .338 OBP and has scored 63 runs. | | Monday, July 9th, 2029: Vines Shuts out Rainiers Duane Vines came out firing strikes and when the game ended, the Red Wings hurler had struck out 5 in leading Rochester over the Tacoma Rainiers 10-0.
