Fernandez said, "Luckily nobody was hurt. I think we both overreacted to the situation."
This season Fernandez is batting .229 with 10 home runs. His totals include 24 RBIs and 39 runs scored.
This season Cole has been credited with 1 save. That's what the fans at Tiger Sharks Ballpark got to see today, when Toledo outplayed the Bees 8-6. Rob May of the Mud Hens came to the plate 6 times and came away with a dynamite day as he exploded for 5 hits against Salt Lake.
In the postgame press conference the Salt Lake skipper quipped to reporters, "Hey, we tried to get him out. We threw everything but the kitchen sink against him and he hit it. Maybe we should've thrown the kitchen sink."
R. May grounded out in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th, singled in the 8th and hit a two-run home run off C. Matthews in the 10th.
Looking at his stats this year, May has compiled a .266 batting average, while hitting 2 home runs and driving in 33 runs.
