Monday, July 16th, 2029: American League Selects Best Performer
There's nothing like being in the prime of your baseball career -- and playing like it. Just ask Salomon Ramirez, the Salt Lake left fielder, who swung a sweet bat all week to not only aid his team, but also pick up the American League Player of the Week honors.

Ramirez piled up 14 hits in 28 at-bats, 1 home run and 2 RBIs while hitting .500.

Ramirez is currently batting .337 with 3 home runs and 9 RBIs.
Monday, July 2nd, 2029: League KO's Bees-Mud Hens Players with 6-Game Suspensions
It was a pretty intense fight, so Alberto Fernandez and Eugene Cole were both suspended today for 6 games for their part in a brawl which happened in a game between the Salt Lake Bees and the Toledo Mud Hens at Salt Lake Stadium.

Fernandez said, "Luckily nobody was hurt. I think we both overreacted to the situation."

This season Fernandez is batting .229 with 10 home runs. His totals include 24 RBIs and 39 runs scored.

This season Cole has been credited with 1 save. In 24 relief appearances and 35.2 innings he has a 3-1 won-lost mark, 4.04 ERA and 21 strikeouts
Sunday, July 1st, 2029: 5-Hit Barrage by May
History in the making. That's what the fans at Tiger Sharks Ballpark got to see today, when Toledo outplayed the Bees 8-6. Rob May of the Mud Hens came to the plate 6 times and came away with a dynamite day as he exploded for 5 hits against Salt Lake.

In the postgame press conference the Salt Lake skipper quipped to reporters, "Hey, we tried to get him out. We threw everything but the kitchen sink against him and he hit it. Maybe we should've thrown the kitchen sink."

R. May grounded out in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th, singled in the 8th and hit a two-run home run off C. Matthews in the 10th.

Looking at his stats this year, May has compiled a .266 batting average, while hitting 2 home runs and driving in 33 runs. He has played in 79 games and scored 37 runs.
