| Breaking News | | Wednesday, July 18th, 2029: Season-Ending Injury for Jim Bunch
Jim Bunch has to call it a season. The San Antonio Missions starting pitcher sustained a season-ending injury against the Connecticut Defenders and will not play again this year according to club doctors. Bunch was injured while throwing a pitch. His doctors diagnosed it as a ruptured ulnar collateral ligament and stated that he would not be able to play for 10-11 months.
To date this year in 10 starts, Bunch has crafted a 4-4 mark with a 4.63 ERA. |
| Friday, July 6th, 2029: Season May Be Over for Missions Jensen
The season is ending on a bad note for Joe Jensen, starting pitcher for the San Antonio Missions. It was announced today that he will miss the rest of the season because of injury. Jensen was hurt against the Huntsville Stars while throwing a pitch. He suffered a fractured elbow and will be out for at least 7 months.
This year Jensen has worked 40 innings with 45 strikeouts en route to a 3-2 record and a 2.92 ERA.

 | Thursday, June 28th, 2029: António Tovar Injured, Out for Season
The news is bad in San Antonio. The Missions have lost the services of reliever António Tovar for the rest of the season due to a torn tricep muscle. Tovar was injured in a recent game with the Chattanooga Lookouts while throwing a pitch and is expected to miss 7-8 months.
This year Tovar has notched no saves. He has 25 strikeouts and 10 walks in 26.2 innings while registering a 1.35 ERA and a 4-0 won-lost record.
