Wednesday, June 27th, 2029: Red-Hot Mendoza Cools off Akron
Miguel Mendoza shut 'em down and shut 'em out, hurling Trenton past Akron 6-0 in a complete game victory.

He told BNN sportswriters in the postgame interview, "This is a game of adjustments and I made some good ones in this game."

Mendoza held the Akron Aeros without a run, tossing a 6-hitter while walking 1 and fanning 2.

This season Mendoza has 7 wins and 5 losses and a 2.72 ERA.
Monday, June 18th, 2029: West Tenn Whitewashed by Battle
John Battle of Trenton easily handled the West Tenn Diamond Jaxx, stopping them on 5 hits and chucking a complete-game 7-0 shutout.

"He really did a job on us," said the West Tenn manager. "He had good command of his pitches. He changed speeds well and pretty much confused us. We never could zero in on him, but he certainly zeroed in on us."

Battle said, "Everything was working for me. Throwing my breaking stuff over the plate was big."

He finished the game with 4 strikeouts and no walks in a solid outing.

Running the numbers on Battle for the year, he has made no relief appearances, recorded no saves and compiled a 9-3 won-lost mark with a 3.61 ERA. In pitching 107.1 innings, he has totaled 59 strikeouts and 21 walks.
Saturday, June 9th, 2029: Velazquez Shines in Gem
It was a dazzling performance by Fernan Velazquez of the Trenton Thunder. He shut out the New Britain Rock Cats 8-0 on a well-pitched 5-hitter, ringing up 8 strikeouts and issuing 1 walk.

This year Velazquez has worked 104.1 innings with 76 strikeouts en route to a 6-6 record and a 2.50 ERA.
