| Breaking News | | Sunday, July 1st, 2029: June's Best Batter Announced
Pedro López mauled enemy pitching all month long as he cruised to the National League Batter of the Month title.
López batted .378 with 6 home runs, 25 RBIs and 13 runs scored.
Hickory faithful hope for an encore in July!
So far this year López has hit .323 with 12 home runs, 55 RBIs and 43 runs scored.

| Saturday, June 30th, 2029: Rex O'Shiel Out for Season
Hickory has lost shortstop Rex O'Shiel for at least 13 months. He was hurt in a game against the Reds while running the bases and sustained a dislocated shoulder. His doctors said O'Shiel will probably be out the rest of the year.
So far this year O'Shiel is batting .237 with 1 home run, 28 RBIs and 44 runs scored.

 | Thursday, June 28th, 2029: Farley Zeroes in on Brevard County
Hickory hurler Joe Farley was at his best as he whitewashed the Brevard County Manatees 6-0 today.
"He just kept the ball down, did a good job, made his pitches," said the Brevard County manager. "We didn't do a good job making adjustments, so we helped him out a little bit."
Farley fired a 1-hitter and totaled 4 strikeouts and 2 walks in the shutout performance.
This season Farley has a 10-2 record with a 2.59 ERA in 18 starts.
