Monday, July 16th, 2029: AL's Top Player Named
So far in his young career, Kenny Brown has kept a low profile, but after his performance at the plate last week, he attracted the notice of the rest of the American League in a big way as he was named the Player of the Week today for his efforts.

The 22-year-old Charleston RiverDogs left fielder hit at a torrid .591 clip as he collected 13 hits in 22 at-bats, 2 home runs, 11 RBIs and 5 runs scored.

This year Brown has batted at a .308 pace with 110 hits, 8 home runs, 54 RBIs and scored 62 times.
Sunday, July 1st, 2029: AL's Top Starter is Ríos
Francisco Ríos has made fans throughout HBL Single A take notice over the past month with an exceptional 5-1 record. No pitcher in the American League threw better in June, garnering him the Pitcher of the Month award today.

In 6 starts Ríos compiled a 1.46 ERA, putting up a 5-1 record, striking out 37 and tossing 49.1 innings.

This year Ríos has compiled a 8-6 record with a 3.20 ERA in 16 starts.
Sunday, July 1st, 2029: American League Picks June's Best Batter
Not known for his offensive prowess, Doug Edmonds set the league afire in June and took home the American League Batter of the Month award.

The Charleston right fielder posted a steady .354 batting average, 8 home runs, 30 RBIs and 22 runs.

Edmonds is currently batting .285 with 15 home runs and 59 RBIs.
