Lewis held the Modesto Nuts to 1 hit and fashioned a fine 1-0 shutout. He had 1 walk and 5 strikeouts in the game.
"We couldn't get anything going. He certainly had our number," the Modesto skipper told reporters.

Palm Beach County's Don Reynolds had a very special day against the Giants when everything came together for him and he did just that -- collected 5 hits in 5 at-bats -- and led the Palm Beach County Cardinals to a 3-2 win at Ballpark of Laredo.
"I'm just out there to try and help the team win," Reynolds said after the game, "I had some real good at-bats today. I made good, solid contact and luckily no one caught 'em."
D. Reynolds singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 6th, singled in the 8th and hit a two-run single in the 9th.
