The most recent National League Batter of the Month trophy was awarded to center fielder Jesse Rogers of the Inland Empire 66ers.

So far in his young career, Jesse Rogers has kept a low profile, but after his performance at the plate last week, he attracted the notice of the rest of the National League in a big way as he was named the Player of the Week today for his efforts.
The 21-year-old Inland Empire 66ers center fielder hit at a torrid .464 clip as he collected 13 hits in 28 at-bats, no home runs, 5 RBIs and 6 runs scored.
Rogers is currently hitting at a .237 pace with 2 home runs, 39 RBIs and has scored 40 times.

Kevin Lane really sizzled at the plate in today's 6-3 win over Nuts. The Inland Empire shortstop blistered Modesto for 5 hits in 5 at-bats.
"Lane was too tough to get out today," the Nuts skipper said in the postgame interview. "No matter what we threw him, he hit it. And he hit some good pitches, too."
K. Lane singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, doubled in the 6th, singled in the 8th and hit a three-run home run off J. Unknown in the 10th.
For 2029 Lane is batting .155 with 2 home runs, 11 RBIs and 7 runs scored.
