| Breaking News | | Saturday, July 28th, 2029: Year Ends for Ray Wallace in Kinston Ray Wallace will soon find out from his doctors if his season will continue. The first diagnosis was not too positive and stated the Kinston starting pitcher could miss the remainder of the year. Wallace was injured while throwing a pitch in the Indians-Ports clash at Saturns Ballpark recently. Doctors said he has a torn rotator cuff muscle and would be out a minimum of 10-11 months.
This year Wallace has worked 166.2 innings with 100 strikeouts en route to a 5-13 record and a 4.32 ERA. | | Saturday, July 14th, 2029: Hits Galore: Lee Drills 5 Hits 5 hits in 5 at-bats. It doesn't happen every day, and when it does, it's exciting. Today Geoff Lee of the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes had a sensational 5-5 game against Kinston at Rancho Cucamonga Ballpark. He rifled base hits all over the ballpark in his team's 9-5 shellacking of the Indians.
In the postgame press conference he joked, "Heck, that's a week's worth of hitting for me and I did it all in one day. I guess I can take the rest of the week off... Right, skipper?"
G. Lee doubled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI double in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit a two-run home run off S. West in the 8th.
So far this season Lee is hitting .291 with 2 home runs. | | Friday, July 13th, 2029: Injury Ends Career of Miguel Aguilar Teammates rushed to the side of Kinston reliever Miguel Aguilar, when he was hurt in the Kinston-Rancho Cucamonga game yesterday at Saturns Ballpark. They were right to be concerned about Aguilar -- he had suffered a fractured elbow throwing a pitch. This type of injury, most likely, not only ends the season for Aguilar, but also his career.
This season Aguilar has nailed down 1 save with 11 strikeouts in 28.1 innings. He is credited with no wins and 1 loss and has a 5.40 earned run average. | | | | Team Information | | Record overall | 36-84, .300 PCT | | Position in Division | 5th, 36.0 GB | | Record at home | 14-46, .233 PCT | | Record on the road | 22-38, .367 PCT | | Record in X-inning games | 1-10, .091 PCT | | Record in one-run games | 13-27, .325 PCT | | Record versus LHP | 5-28, .152 PCT | | Record versus RHP | 31-56, .356 PCT | | Record last 10 games | 2-8, .200 PCT | | Record in April | 10-18, .357 PCT | | Record in May | 6-23, .207 PCT | | Record in June | 8-17, .320 PCT | | Record in July | 10-19, .345 PCT | | Record in August | 2-7, .222 PCT |
