Tuesday, July 17th, 2029: Enríquez Twirls Shutout
A masterful pitching performance carried the Palm Beach County Cardinals to a 4-0 victory over Brevard County. Jorge Enríquez held them scoreless in a complete-game effort. He permitted 3 hits, had 6 strikeouts and allowed 2 walks.

The skipper of the Manatees said, "Enríquez was sharp. We never did figure him out."

This year Enríquez has worked 125 innings with 118 strikeouts en route to a 12-4 record and a 2.81 ERA.
Tuesday, July 10th, 2029: Whitaker 5-6 for Cardinals
It was a good day for the Cardinals at Ballpark of Laredo as they clipped the Potomac Nationals 6-5. It was tremendous day for Dane Whitaker, who went on quite a hitting spree with a 5 for 6 barrage.

The Palm Beach County left fielder told reporters after his big 5-hit performance, "I don't have any buzz words. I'm not 'dialed in' or 'in a zone,' as they say. As far as the hitting goes, I try to keep it simple. I try not to look into it too much. Basically the pitcher throws the ball, I try to pick up the spin, then try to hit it. Today I picked up the spin very well."

D. Whitaker singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, grounded out in the 6th, singled in the 8th and hit a solo-shot off A. Rosser in the 11th.

Thus far this year Whitaker is batting .224 with 1 home run, 12 RBIs and 14 runs scored.
