Monday, August 6th, 2029: Folse Twirls Avalanche to Shutout Win
Red Folse of the Salem Avalanche was masterful today, pitching a 4-hit 7-0 shutout against the Brevard County Manatees and giving his bullpen a rest by going the distance.

According to his manager, "He had command of every ball and every pitch... great location, too." Folse had 5 strikeouts and issued 1 walk in an impressive outing.

This year Folse has posted a 13-7 mark in 24 starts and has a 3.24 ERA.
Wednesday, August 1st, 2029: Williams Belts Bunch of Base Hits
"Ever since I picked up my first bat my coaches were always saying to keep your eye on the ball, don't overswing... just make contact and ya never know what'll happen," Salem's Ben Williams told reporters after the game. "That's all I did today. I made contact and it turned out well."

It definitely turn out well for Williams today as he collected 5 hits in 5 at-bats against Modesto. It turned out well for his team, too, as the Avalanche knocked off the Nuts 6-3 at Metros Ballpark.

B. Williams doubled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, doubled in the 5th, singled in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off J. Unknown in the 8th.

Williams has a .290 average and a .337 on-base percentage for the year. He has picked up 93 hits, 6 home runs and driven in 45 runs.
