Saturday, July 21st, 2029: Danton Stops Modesto Cold
Ken Danton held the Nuts to 5 harmless hits as the Potomac Nationals whitewashed Modesto by the score of 5-0. Danton had 5 walks and 6 strikeouts in the win.

In 18 starts this year Danton has fashioned a 10-8 record and a 3.11 ERA.
Tuesday, July 10th, 2029: Whitaker 5-6 for Cardinals
It was a good day for the Cardinals at Ballpark of Laredo as they clipped the Potomac Nationals 6-5. It was tremendous day for Dane Whitaker, who went on quite a hitting spree with a 5 for 6 barrage.

The Palm Beach County left fielder told reporters after his big 5-hit performance, "I don't have any buzz words. I'm not 'dialed in' or 'in a zone,' as they say. As far as the hitting goes, I try to keep it simple. I try not to look into it too much. Basically the pitcher throws the ball, I try to pick up the spin, then try to hit it. Today I picked up the spin very well."

D. Whitaker singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, grounded out in the 6th, singled in the 8th and hit a solo-shot off A. Rosser in the 11th.

Thus far this year Whitaker is batting .224 with 1 home run, 12 RBIs and 14 runs scored.
Sunday, July 1st, 2029: Cooley Holds St. Lucie Scoreless

This season Cooley has been credited with no saves. In no relief appearances and 133 innings he has a 10-4 won-lost mark, a 2.71 ERA and 94 strikeouts.
