| Breaking News |  | Wednesday, August 1st, 2029: Injury Forces Ray Kean Out
Medical officials from the Colorado Rockies reported that the club's 24-year-old third baseman, Ray Kean, suffered dead arm syndrome in yesterday's matchup against the Houston Astros while throwing the ball. Kean is expected to miss one week of action.
This season Kean is hitting .315 with 73 hits, 9 home runs, 31 RBIs, scored 29 runs and played in 79 games.

Angel Munro was voted the top rookie in the National League for his solid performance last month.
In July, the Colorado shortstop posted a .315 average while racking up 23 hits, 6 home runs and 14 RBIs.
This season-to-date Munro has 8 home runs and a .262 batting average.

Dominick Wynkoop of the Los Angeles Dodgers was masterful today, pitching a 6-hit 9-0 shutout against the Colorado Rockies and giving his bullpen a rest by going the distance.
According to his manager, "He had command of every ball and every pitch... great location, too." Wynkoop had 5 strikeouts and issued no walks in an impressive outing.
This season Wynkoop has a 15-6 record with a 2.77 ERA.
