Milwaukee fans celebrated as word of a signing became reality. Jorge Montano won't be pulling up stakes anytime soon, as he has signed a 3-year extension at a pay rate of $4,006,000 per annum.
Since he is widely seen as an integral part of the club, Milwaukee officials had to keep Montano from jumping ship.
This year his season stats show Montano has 17 saves in 49 relief appearances with a 4-4 record and 5.01 ERA. |
 | Monday, August 13th, 2029: Astros Kimbrell Blanks Brewers
Houston's Jeffrey Kimbrell breezed through the Brewers lineup today, collecting a 2-hit shutout and a 5-0 victory along the way. Kimbrell fanned 8 as well.
"I didn't really feel like I had my game today," Kimbrell confessed, "but some days are like that -- you just gotta go with what you have."
In the current season in 26 starts, Jeffrey Kimbrell has a record of 11-6 with 135 strikeouts in 177 innings and a 2.64 ERA. |
 | Thursday, August 2nd, 2029: Marshall Extends Stay with Brewers
The latest out of Milwaukee indicates that Felix Marshall has re-signed with the Brewers and that the 26-year-old catcher is set to earn $2,748,000 over a 3-year span.
Team officials tell BNN the deal will be officially announced at a press conference tomorrow.
This season Marshall has hit at a .263 clip with 24 RBIs, 3 home runs and 32 runs scored.
