Monday, July 3rd, 2028: Big Stick Wins NL Trophy
One of the league's most exciting young players, Wilson Labadie of the Cincinnati Reds earned himself National League Player of the Week honors with a standout performance in last week's games.

For the week the 24-year-old second baseman had a lofty .524 average (11-21), collecting 1 home run, 7 RBIs and 4 runs scored.

Saturday, June 3rd, 2028: Hooray for Braun! Hammers 5 Hits!
5 hits in a game has always been a magic number in baseball. Only a handful of players will do that. Get 5 hits in a game and you get your moment of glory...your 5 minutes of fame...you get your name in the record book.

In the Reds 12-6 win over Washington, Tarrik Braun was red-hot today, scorching them for hit after hit at Great American Ball Park.

"To hit the ball consistently well, you have to relax. I was relaxed for the first four hits, but I must admit, I got too much adrenaline going when I realized that this was a special once-in-a-lifetime chance for the record book. On the last hit, I was ready to swing at anything close, I was that excited. That's why my third base coach called time and told me, 'Calm down and wait for a good pitch.' That got me back on track and I nailed the first one in the strike zone."

On his record-setting day Braun delivered 5 hits in 5 at-bats, a day he will not soon forget.

T. Braun singled in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off E. Evans in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, walked in the 6th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th.

So far in 2028 Braun is batting .319 with 3 home runs, 16 RBIs and 30 runs scored. He has 60 hits in 188 at-bats and a .399 OBP.

Over that stretch Diaz batted .389 with 37 hits in 95 at-bats, collecting 3 home runs, 22 RBIs and 21 runs scored.

This year Diaz is hitting .314 with 6 home runs.
