Saturday, May 27th, 2028: Red Sox Morales Dominates Athletics
Gonzalo Morales of the Boston Red Sox was really in the zone as he mowed down the Oakland hitters 4-0 in a sterling mound performance.

"I'm feeling good overall," he said.

"I'm executing my pitches, I'm able to hit my spots and I'm getting outs in key situations."

Morales shut down the Oakland Athletics, blanking them on 4 hits while registering 8 strikeouts and 3 walks.

So far this year Morales has 6 wins and 5 losses and a 3.33 ERA.
Wednesday, May 3rd, 2028: Number 2000 for Dickert!
Detroit's Kareem Dickert got the standing ovation -- but the Boston Red Sox got the win.
It was a historic day at Comerica Park. A day when Dickert notched hit #2000 of his career. The fans went wild when he did. Even the Red Sox fans applauded.

The Tigers designated hitter went 4-5 in a losing cause as Boston spoiled the party with the 8-7 victory.

In the postgame interview, a downhearted Dickert told the media, "We lost -- It's not about individual accomplishments -- we lost."

When pressed further, he admitted his pride in reaching the 2000-hit mark, "A lot of great players never get there. I'm proud, but I would be happier if we had won."

Dickert has a lifetime .306 average and .376 on-base percentage in his career with 2000 hits, 301 doubles, 14 triples, 357 home runs, 1226 RBIs and 1117 runs scored.
