Dennis Mitchell of the Boston Red Sox had a fine season this year and today he accepted the Outstanding Hitter Award for 2031.
The 26-year-old first baseman put up a .333 average and a .457 on-base percentage, piling up 100 hits, 31 doubles, 1 triple, 27 home runs, 76 RBIs and 64 runs scored.

 | Saturday, September 27th, 2031: Michael Calzada Hits #300
Toronto's 4-1 victory over Boston was highlighted by Michael Calzada's 300th career home run. His teammates congratulated him at home plate after he circled the bases.
"I didn't see all of them out there," Calzada said with a chuckle, "until I rounded third base." He added sheepishly: "It was only a home run. It's not like I won us a World Series!"
In 4 at-bats the Blue Jays designated hitter collected 1 hit in his historic game, scored 1 run, and had 1 RBI.
Calzada has a career .265 average with 1422 hits, 267 doubles, 54 triples, 300 home runs, 903 RBIs, and 889 runs scored to date.
