Tuesday, October 28th, 2031: 2031 NL Cy Young Chosen
The Cy Young for 2031 has been presented and the National League winner is Michael Bixler of Calgary.

"It's always nice to receive an award like this," said Bixler. "I just hope I can improve on my performance next year and be in the running again," the Storm star told reporters.

Bixler excelled with an impressive 22-6 record in 33 starts. In 231.1 innings he yielded 188 hits and 41 walks, while striking out 217 and compiling a fine 3.11 ERA.
Tuesday, October 28th, 2031: Great Year Gets Sweet NL Most Valuable Player
Today Calgary's Alton Sweet was named the National League Most Valuable Player winner for 2031. He pounded NL hurlers hard all season long, collecting 195 hits in 616 at-bats.

With a .317 batting average, 40 doubles, 7 triples, 38 home runs, 115 RBIs and 129 runs scored, he was the top votegetter.
Sunday, October 26th, 2031: Calgary Wins it All
Calgary did well in regular season play, but they did even better in the postseason -- they won the whole shebang, finishing off the Seattle Mariners in the World Series 4-1 to claim the crown for the 4th time.

In the elimination game today at Tim Hortons Centre, the Storm polished off Seattle 9-3 to win the Hickory Baseball League championship.

In the National League Central Division pennant race, Calgary compiled a 116-46 record and came in first.
