Wednesday, June 14th, 2028: San Francisco's Tomlinson Out 1-2 Weeks
After injuring himself, Giants first baseman John Tomlinson headed straight to the hospital. He was removed from the game as a precaution after making a defensive play and the team's worst fears were confirmed when it turned out to be a little more serious. Tomlinson will miss at least 1-2 weeks with a fractured hand.

So far in 2028, Tomlinson is batting .255 with 10 home runs and 46 RBIs.
Saturday, May 27th, 2028: Atmore Cruises to Shutout
Shannon Atmore effectively shut down the Giants today, blanking them 5-0 on 5 hits, ringing up 11 strikeouts and allowing 2 walks. The Nationals pitcher appeared to get stronger as the game went on.

"I don't know if I was getting any stronger," Atmore said after the game, "I feel like my mechanics were getting better. I was able to make some adjustments and get a little more comfortable out there."

The Giants skipper said, "We had some opportunities, but weren't able to execute. We just didn't swing the bats very well today."

Season-to-date Atmore has rung up 6 wins and 4 losses in 11 appearances. He has an ERA of 2.30 and has fanned 76 batters in 90 innings.
Saturday, May 20th, 2028: Rumors Swirling in San Francisco; Falkner Wants Out
It appears to be only a rumor, but earlier today, fans around San Francisco were buzzing with the news that their 30-year old right fielder Jason Falkner had been asking for a trade. "I couldn't imagine him saying bad things about San Francisco or wanting to leave." said one person.
