Saturday, July 1st, 2028: AL's Premier Batter Picked
In June, Alberto Borrego beat the baseball like a drum the entire month and netted the American League Batter of the Month award.

In 26 games the New York (A) second baseman hit .413 with 8 home runs, 20 RBIs and 32 runs scored.

In 2028 Borrego is batting .351 with 18 home runs and 53 RBIs.
Wednesday, June 28th, 2028: New York (A) Catcher Hurt
Michael Bohannon at first refused to leave today's Seattle-New York (A) game after he suffered a strained thigh muscle while running the bases. But his manager convinced him not to be foolish. "I'm a competitor," the feisty New York (A) catcher said. "I'll play through just about anything." Given time to reflect on the situation, he knew it was in his best interest to get immediate treatment. The injury is expected to keep Bohannon out of action for 2 weeks.

Currently Bohannon is batting .357 with 96 hits and 13 home runs. He has knocked in 56 runs and scored 42 times.
Saturday, June 17th, 2028: Wynkoop Listed DTD with Injury
New York (A) team officials speculated whether star starting pitcher Dominick Wynkoop would be scratched from today's ballgame after he suffered a tender shoulder in yesterday's matchup with the Toronto Blue Jays. Wynkoop denied reports that he would miss a lot of time, but added that he would not risk further injury by playing.

To date in 2028, Wynkoop has registered 13 starts, 7-6 won-lost mark, 4.46 ERA, 84.2 IP, 66 strikeouts and 25 walks. Opposing teams have hit .291 against him.
