Thursday, October 2nd, 2031: Wilson and Forester Brawl, League Suspends Them
Sometimes on the baseball diamond disparaging words are uttered in anger and lead to more than what the players bargained for. That what happened at yesterday's Las Vegas Kings and Toronto Blue Jays game at Mandalay Bay Park. What started off as a war of words ended up a tag team match as both clubs rushed on the field to defend their honor. When the umpires sorted it all out, they ejected Las Vegas's Jim Wilson and Toronto's Kip Forester from the game for their roles in starting the melee.

Today the players were notified by the league office that they had been suspended 3 games for violating league rules.

This year Wilson is hitting .194 with 2 home runs and 8 RBIs to his credit. He has gotten on base at a .269 clip and scored 7 runs.

In 2031, Forester has a 11-18 mark in 33 starts with a 5.96 ERA. He has given up 219 hits in 191.2 innings, struck out 114 and issued 37 walks. Opposing clubs have compiled a .286 batting average against him.
Wednesday, October 1st, 2031: Cervantes Shuts out Toronto
"Siro Cervantes is really a good pitcher when he throws strikes early in the count," said his manager after the Las Vegas hurler tossed a complete game 5-hit shutout against the Toronto Blue Jays.

"I went right after each hitter, trying to get ahead in the count," said Cervantes. "I wanted them to swing the bats and keep my pitch count down. It worked. I felt strong the whole game, even in the last two innings."

Cervantes walked 2 and struck out 9 in the 7-0 victory.

This season Cervantes has a 9-14 record with a 5.72 ERA.
Monday, September 29th, 2031: Players Suspended in Kings-Blue Jays Donnybrook
Justin Morgan of the Las Vegas Kings and Francisco Carballo of the Toronto Blue Jays will be on the sidelines for a few days. They have been suspended 9 games apiece by the league office for causing the bench-emptying free-for-all at the recent Kings-Blue Jays game at Mandalay Bay Park.

Neither player had any comment about the suspensions. Both clubs told BNN Morgan and Carballo will begin serving them soon.

This year Morgan is batting .263 with 3 home runs.

Thus far this season Carballo has posted a 7-8 record, started 19 games, struck out 94 batters in 128 innings and compiled a 4.43 ERA.
