| Breaking News |  | Sunday, October 14th, 2029: Quezada and Alfaro Swapped
Chiba Lotte and Tokyo have agreed in principle to a trade. The Marines will send 32-year old center fielder Roberto Quezada to the Swallows for 29-year old reliever Ramón Alfaro. The deal is expected to be finalized shortly and the clubs will be introducing their new players to the press when the paperwork is complete.
Over his career Quezada has batted .255 and collected 132 hits, 9 home runs and 50 RBIs.
Since he broke in, Alfaro has picked up 6 wins, 7 losses and 3 saves. He has posted a 4.67 ERA and recorded 96 strikeouts in 123.1 innings.

 | Sunday, October 14th, 2029: Tohoku Trades Abe to Chiba Lotte for Motsuzuki
The Tohoku Golden Eagles announced a deal with the Marines today, sending 27-year old shortstop Yoshifumi Abe and 19-year old minor league catcher Kenshin Araki to Chiba Lotte for 32-year old reliever Sadaharu Motsuzuki. It had been talked about for the past few weeks and everything came together late last night. All players are expected to be joining their respective clubs shortly.
In his career Abe has compiled a .238 batting average and collected 262 hits, 5 home runs and 102 RBIs.
Lifetime Motsuzuki has chalked up a 13-and-12 record with 3 saves and a 4.85 ERA.
