| Breaking News |  | Saturday, July 1st, 2028: Detroit Reliever Named AL #1 Pitcher The elite pitcher in the American League this month was Detroit reliever Elliot Falgoust. He won the league's Best Pitcher Award for June by saving 8 games in 9 save opportunities.
During the period Falgoust also had 2 wins and 1 loss. The Tigers relief specialist had 16 strikeouts and 6 walks in 13.1 innings, permitted 8 base hits and compiled a 0.68 ERA.

He will be out of the lineup at least 8 weeks. He told SION reporters, "I just felt a sharp pain when it happened. I knew there was something wrong."

The Detroit designated hitter took home the trophy by blasting 12 hits in 27 at-bats for a .444 batting average, driving in 12 runs and scoring 7 times.
