Saturday, July 1st, 2028: Detroit Reliever Named AL #1 Pitcher
The elite pitcher in the American League this month was Detroit reliever Elliot Falgoust. He won the league's Best Pitcher Award for June by saving 8 games in 9 save opportunities.

During the period Falgoust also had 2 wins and 1 loss. The Tigers relief specialist had 16 strikeouts and 6 walks in 13.1 innings, permitted 8 base hits and compiled a 0.68 ERA.

Year-to-date Falgoust has 21 saves in 28 relief appearances with a 2-2 mark and 1.55 ERA. In 29 innings he has 32 strikeouts and 11 walks. Other clubs are hitting .192 against him.
Monday, June 26th, 2028: Wyckoff Hurt, Out of Lineup 8 Weeks
Ben Wyckoff had to leave the Tigers game against Baltimore after suffering a fractured ulna while making a defensive play. He will be out of the lineup at least 8 weeks. He told SION reporters, "I just felt a sharp pain when it happened. I knew there was something wrong."

So far this season Wyckoff is batting .244 with 6 home runs, 34 RBIs and 29 runs scored. He has 49 hits in 201 at-bats, 24 walks and a .326 OBP. Wyckoff has played in 62 games.
Monday, June 26th, 2028: Dickert Sticks It to AL Pitchers
All week long nobody could get Kareem Dickert out in the American League and that is the prime reason he was voted the Player of the Week.

The Detroit designated hitter took home the trophy by blasting 12 hits in 27 at-bats for a .444 batting average, driving in 12 runs and scoring 7 times.

Thus far this year Dickert is batting .324 with 30 home runs, 80 RBIs and 70 runs scored.
