Saturday, June 24th, 2028: Angels Jones Tosses Masterpiece
Lindy Jones of Anaheim easily handled the Minnesota Twins, stopping them on 3 hits and chucking a complete game 7-0 shutout.

"He really did a job on us," said the Minnesota manager. "He had good command of his pitches. He changed speeds well and pretty much confused us. We never could zero in on him, but he certainly zeroed in on us."

Jones said, "Everything was working for me. Throwing my breaking stuff over the plate was big."

He finished the game with 5 strikeouts and no walks in a solid outing.

On his stats sheet this season Jones shows a 10-3 record, 16 starts, 121 innings, 75 strikeouts and a 2.90 ERA.
Sunday, June 18th, 2028: Frechette Spins Shutout Against Oakland
"My pitching coach told me before the game just to bear down and focus. He said no one was going to hit me if I'm throwing a good breaking ball with good location."

And that's what Chris Frechette did as he led the Twins to a 12-0 shutout victory over the Athletics.

"I thought he put the ball where he wanted to," the Oakland manager said. "And that's just about the whole secret to pitching."

Frechette yielded 5 hits and had 4 strikeouts and 2 walks in a standout performance.

Checking out his stats for the season, Frechette has registered 5 wins and 6 losses in 15 starts, 4.74 ERA and struck out 68 batters in 108.1 innings.
Monday, June 5th, 2028: Twins and Indians Agree to Deal
The rumor has been going on for a while now, but today it was made official. The Minnesota Twins sent 29-year old first baseman Marshall Myler to the Cleveland Indians for 29-year old second baseman Philip Forrest.

Officials from both teams seem to be pleased with the deal.

Myler on the season is hitting .218 with 1 home run. His stats include 10 RBIs and 8 runs scored.

His lifetime stats show that Forrest has hit .259 and connected for 37 home runs.
