Wednesday, October 1st, 2031: Greenan Earns AL Top Pitcher Trophy
Pete Greenan took a much-deserved turn in the spotlight earlier today as he accepted the American League Pitcher of the Month award for September.

The 23-year-old Twins starter is a relative newcomer to the league, but nonetheless racked up an impressive 5-0 won-lost record in 6 starts. He has fanned 42 batters in 40.2 innings and sports a 2.43 ERA.

This season Greenan has crafted a 12-11 mark with a 4.01 ERA in 184 innings. Opposing clubs are batting .270 against him and he has 183 strikeouts.
Monday, September 29th, 2031: Román Picked AL Player of the Week
At the age of 26, Vicente Román might have some potential he hasn't realized yet -- if his success at the plate last week is any indication. The Minnesota shortstop put up some exceptional numbers the past seven days collecting the American League Player of the Week Award.

He racked up 11 hits in 21 at-bats, 5 home runs and 12 RBIs last week in 6 games.

Thus far this season in 137 games Román is batting .266 with 20 home runs, 85 RBIs and 83 runs scored. He has 137 hits in 516 at-bats.
Tuesday, September 23rd, 2031: Tigers Dickert Hits 500th Homer
The Detroit Tigers defeated the Minnesota Twins 16-4 yesterday in a game that featured Kareem Dickert's 500th career home run.

In the clubhouse, the Tigers first baseman spoke about the milestone achievement. "To be honest, I don't even remember my first home run," he said. "But this one I don't think I'll forget. Who knows if I'll hit another hundred, or fifty, or even ten?"

On his historic day, Dickert banged out 4 hits in 5 at-bats and scored 4 runs with 3 runs batted in.

In his career Dickert has hit .306 with 2722 hits, 420 doubles, 18 triples and 500 home runs. His totals also include 1703 RBIs and 1536 runs scored.
