| Breaking News |  | Monday, July 2nd, 2029: Syracuse Blanked by Bell The Syracuse Chiefs met their match today in Norfolk hurler Ronald Bell. He kept them guessing the whole game and spun a 2-hit shutout.
"He just worked us over," the Syracuse skipper said. "He probably didn't even take a shower after the game. I don't think he even worked up a sweat. They could probably pitch him again tomorrow."
In the 1-0 victory Bell whiffed 5 and gave up no walks.
In 17 starts this season Bell has compiled a 8-7 record and a 2.88 ERA. |  | Wednesday, June 27th, 2029: Rochester Blanks Norfolk Behind Chen Behind the strong pitching of Zhen-ying Chen, Rochester shut out Norfolk 6-0. Chen surrendered only 3 hits in recording the complete-game victory. He registered 7 strikeouts and 2 walks.
In 16 starts this season Chen has compiled a 6-7 record and a 3.20 ERA. |  | Monday, June 4th, 2029: AL Trophy Goes to Huerta of Norfolk 21-year-old Gonzalo Huerta sent shock waves through HBL Triple A last week with an eye-popping performance that brought him the American League Player of the Week Award.
A newcomer to the league, Huerta made the establishment sit up and take notice, punishing opposing pitchers with a .480 average, 12 hits in 25 at-bats, 1 home run and 6 RBI.
Where the Norfolk Tides shortstop goes from here, only the baseball gods know for sure, but Huerta certainly made his mark last week.
Presently Huerta is batting .256 with 52 hits and 6 home runs.
