| Breaking News | | Saturday, June 16th, 2029: Black Torches Bats for 5 Hits There are moments in a player's career that are etched into their memories forever. Ray Black of the Fresno Grizzlies had one of those moments when he went 5 for 6 at the plate today in the 11-6 win over the Louisville Bats at Battle Stadium.
The 22-year-old first baseman told reporters in the postgame interview, "This is a day I won't forget soon, but I'll settle to just get a hit or two every day... enough hits to hang around the league a little bit longer... like 10... 15 more years maybe."
R. Black struck out in the 1st, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, hit an RBI double in the 7th, doubled in the 8th and hit an RBI double in the 9th.
This season Black has banged out 72 hits in 240 at-bats for a .300 average with 3 home runs. He is getting on base at a .354 pace and his totals also include 33 RBIs and 37 runs scored. | | Sunday, June 3rd, 2029: Fresno's Valero to Miss Season Michael Valero will soon find out from his doctors if his season will continue. The first diagnosis was not too positive and stated the Fresno right fielder could miss the remainder of the year. Valero was injured while throwing the ball in the Grizzlies-Clippers clash at Battle Stadium recently. Doctors said he has a ruptured bicep tendon and would be out a minimum of 8 months.
Valero is hitting at a .341 mark this season. His stats show 9 home runs, 29 RBIs and 23 runs scored. He has played 39 games for the Grizzlies. | | Monday, May 28th, 2029: Aldridge's Strong Week Earns NL Trophy It can be difficult for a young player to step out of the shadows and assert himself in the National League, but last week Melvin Aldridge of the Fresno Grizzlies reminded everyone just why he's here as he threw up numbers that made him an easy selection for Player of the Week.
Aldridge rocked opposing pitching for a .600 average (12-20), 1 home run and 5 RBIs to come away with the award.
In 2029 Aldridge is batting .303 with 1 home run and 15 RBIs. | | | Injuries | | Player | Injury | Out for... | Disabled List Status | | RF Michael Valero | ruptured bicep tendon | 7 months | Not on DL | | | Team Information | | Record overall | 57-33, .633 PCT | | Position in Division | 2nd, 5.0 GB | | Record at home | 32-15, .681 PCT | | Record on the road | 25-18, .581 PCT | | Record in X-inning games | 4-3, .571 PCT | | Record in one-run games | 12-13, .480 PCT | | Record versus LHP | 12-4, .750 PCT | | Record versus RHP | 45-29, .608 PCT | | Record last 10 games | 6-4, .600 PCT | | Record in April | 15-13, .536 PCT | | Record in May | 19-10, .655 PCT | | Record in June | 18-8, .692 PCT | | Record in July | 5-2, .714 PCT |
